(3/14/14) Speaking on WGR 550 AM in Buffalo on Friday, Bills general manager Doug Whaley said that the safety who will start in Jarius Byrd's old spot will come off the existing roster. Whaley expects a competition between Duke Williams, Jonathan Meeks and Da'Norris Searcy, ESPN says.

(12/13/13) The Bills are fairly healthy heading into their game Sunday at Jacksonville. The only player ruled out is backup cornerback Brandon Smith (ankle).
Two key players are questionable. They are middle linebacker Kiko Alonso (knee) and guard Kraig Urbik (foot). Defensive tackle Kyle Williams (Achilles) and safety Jonathan Meeks (ankle) are probable.

(10/14/13) The Bills announced Monday rookie safety Jonathan Meeks was placed on short-term injured reserve with an ankle injury. Meeks suffered the injury Sunday against the Bengals.
Meeks will be out eight weeks, but he can start practicing in six weeks.
