by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com (12/9/13) A league source confirmed to ESPN that Cardinals defensive back Tyrann Mathieu suffered a torn ACL Sunday against the Rams. Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said after Sunday's game it appeared the rookie suffered a torn ACL.
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com (12/8/13) The Cardinals DST had a big game Week 14 against St. Louis.
Arizona wrecked havoc against Kellen Clemens. Clemens was held to just 181 passing yards, and tossed two interceptions. Karlos Dansby was able to take one of those interceptions all the way into the end zone for a score. That wasn't enough for Arizona. They also managed to sack Clemens in the end zone, registering a safety. They were only beat on one play, as Tavon Austin broke off a 56 yard run on an end-around. Zac Stacy punched in a 1 yard score on the next play.
The Cardinals will look to continue their dominance Week 15 against the Titans.
Cardinals DST ready for grudge match Week 14
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com (12/6/13) The Cardinals DST will look to push around the division-rival Rams Week 14.
The Rams have actually done well against opposing defenses, limiting them to just 8.42 Fantasy points per game. Though the Rams are far from an offensive juggernaut, they do a good job preventing turnovers. Ram quarterbacks have tossed just seven interceptions this season, and the team's offensive line has only allowed 29 sacks.
That might not matter to the Cardinals DST. The team has 15 interceptions and 34 sacks. Both numbers rate as above-average this season. On top of that, the team only allows 20.6 points per game, which ranks eighth in the league. The Cardinals DST has been strong all season, and can be counted on when facing non-elite offenses like the Rams. They are a solid Fantasy start Week 14.
Cardinals struggle against efficient Eagles
by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer (12/1/13) The Cardinals DST nearly had something to hang their hat on in Week 13: they were the first team to intercept Nick Foles this season. But a penalty flag hitting the field a few moments later changed all that, and Foles' streak of attempts without an interception lived to fight another week.
The Cardinals didn't have a bad defensive game -- they sacked Foles five times and almost had that interception -- but it wasn't the Fantasy bonanza that the Cardinals have given their owners lately (17 or more Fantasy points in three of the last four games).
Things should right themselves in Week 14, when the Cardinals play the Rams.
