Bears thrilled with Kyle Fuller
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com (9/15/14) Bears rookie corner Kyle Fuller intercepted two fourth-quarter passes in the Week 2 win at San Francisco. He's an every-down player now that corner Charles Tillman (triceps) is done for the season.
"I think we all saw what Kyle did with his opportunity," defensive end Jared Allen told ESPN.com, referring to Tillman leaving the game with the injury. "We are going to expect him to play at that level going forward, obviously. But you can really say that his first test was a great one. He passed it."
Fuller, the nickel corner before Tillman's injury, tied for the team lead with seven tackles, including five solo stops.
Charles Tillman officially placed on season-ending IR
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com (9/15/14) Overlooked after a poor Week 1 performance, the Bears DST came up big Sunday night at San Francisco. Chicago forced four turnovers by Colin Kaepernick, with rookie corner Kyle Fuller making two fourth-quarter interceptions.
Defensive end Jared Allen forced a fumble, safety Danny McCray recovering. Safety Chris Conte made his second interception of the season before leaving with a shoulder injury. Defensive end Willie Young led a strong pass rush with four sacks.
Riding a lot of momentum, the rejuvenated Bears DST visits the Jets on Monday Night Football in Week 3.
