by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com (9/21/14) The Packers DST turned in a solid performance Week 3 against the Lions.
The team did a solid job in the passing game, keeping Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson out of the end zone. The team was hurt by offensive turnovers. The Lions managed to run in a score after an Eddie Lacy fumble early in the contest. Reggie Bush scored the only offensive touchdown against Green Bay.
The Packers had some success with turnovers and pressure. Outside of the two interceptions, Green Bay sacked Stafford twice, and forced one fumble.
They'll look for more next week against the Bears.
Packers rule out just one on defense for Week 3
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com (9/19/14) The Packers unveiled their injury report for Week 3, and they don't have many question marks on the defensive side of the ball for Week 3 against the Lions.
Defensive back Micah Hyde (knee) is probable for Week 3, while fellow defensive back Casey Hayward is questionable with a glute injury. Linebacker Brad Jones is the only player ruled out on defense, as he deals with a quadriceps injury.
Packers DST notches one turnover vs. Jets
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com (9/14/14) The Packers defense managed two sacks and one interception in the team's 31-24 win over the Jets in Week 2.
The defense intercepted a pass on its own three-yard line with less than two minutes left in the first half after hitting Geno Smith on a pass attempt. Smith was hit on another pass early in the third quarter that appeared to cause the ball to go backwards in the air, with the defense recovering the fumble, but the play was questionably overturned and ruled incomplete, leaving the Packers with the lone turnover. One of the team's two sacks came on the only Jets play of the game that featured Michael Vick at quarterback.
The Packers will head to Detroit to take on the Lions in Week 3.
