Report: Charles Woodson returning to Oakland
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(3/20/14) Free agent defensive back Charles Woodson won't be changing addresses for the upcoming season, after agreeing to return to the Raiders on a one-year deal, according to ESPN.com Wednesday.

The 27-year-old put together a very productive 2013 season, finishing with a career-high 97 tackles. He added three forced fumbles and one interception in his return to Oakland after seven seasons in Green Bay.

Antonio Smith signs with the Raiders
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(3/14/14) The Raiders signed free agent defensive end Antonio Smith on Friday, the team announced. Smith has 41.5 career sacks. He registered posted 50 tackles (27 solo), five sacks, one forced fumble and one pass defensed last season with the Texans.
Tarell Brown crosses the bay, signs with Raiders
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(3/14/14) Former 49ers cornerback Tarell Brown agreed on a deal with the crosstown team, the Raiders, on Friday, according to the 49ers' team website. He signed a one-year, $3.5 million guaranteed deal with Oakland.

For the first time since his rookie season, Brown did not record an interception in 2013. He had 32 tackles and 10 defended passes over 13 games with San Francisco last season.
Raiders sign Justin Tuck
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(3/13/14) Defensive end Justin Tuck signed with the Raiders on a two-year, $11 million deal, reports the New York Daily News.

The report says Tuck, who played for the Giants for nine seasons, even gave his former team the chance to match the offer. He had 11 sacks in 2013.

"Everyone talks about once you turn 30, it’s all downhill," Tuck said. "I don't believe in that. I don't look at myself in that regard. I feel like I have a lot of great football left in me."

Charles Woodson could retire if deal not right
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(2/28/14) Defensive back Charles Woodson wants to return to the Raiders in 2014, and both general manager Reggie McKenzie and coach Dennis Allen have said they want the 16-year veteran back, reports ESPN.

But if Woodson does not receive what he considers a fair contract offer from Oakland he said he is ready to retire.

"If the right numbers don't come across, for myself and from the team's standpoint, then it's a serious consideration. ... I could have played my last season in the NFL," Woodson told SiriusXM NFL radio on Thursday. "So that's definitely something that I think about. I do plan on playing another year. Hopefully something can get done with the Raiders, but if not, then I've got to take a real hard look at last year being the last one."

Woodson, 37, played all but seven defensive snaps last season. He finished with 97 tackles, third on the team, with two sacks, an interception, three forced fumbles and two fumbles recoveries.
