The Raiders DST had more Fantasy points in a standard league than the Bears, Jets and Texans in 2013, which most years would be a great thing. But last year, it only put the Raiders at No. 25, which said more about the failures of those other teams than the Raiders having success. Oakland was second-worst in the NFL with just nine interceptions, and the Raiders had just 39 sacks, 13 rumble recoveries and four defensive touchdowns. The Raiders tried to upgrade their pass rush with the additions of rookie Khalil Mack, LaMarr Woodley, Justin Tuck and Antonio Smith, but they also lost Lamarr Houston to Chicago. Charles Woodson is back as a free agent, and we hope to see Tyvon Branch (ankle) back at 100 percent, which would allow the Raiders DST make more plays this season. That said, they have to prove themselves first before Fantasy owners can trust them. Ignore them in all leagues on Draft Day and just add them off waivers if they start out the season playing well.
