Seattle D shows up too late
(1/13/13) The Seahawks comeback effort Sunday at Atlanta came up a little short and Seattle exited the playoffs after suffering a 30-28 loss in the Divisional round. Seattle actually rallied from a 20-point fourth-quarter deficit and took the lead with 31 seconds remaining, but Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan needed just two passes for 41 yards to set up Matt Bryant for the game-winning 49-yard field goal. Atlanta managed 417 yards (167 rushing) in the win. Seattle forced two interceptions, but failed to sack Ryan.
Seahawks clamp down after first
(1/6/13) After being burned for two quick touchdowns in the first quarter, the Seattle defense quickly reverted to its standout form and cruised to a 24-14 victory over Washington in an NFC Wild Card clash Sunday. The Seahawks benefited from a hobbling Robert Griffin III, who was forced to leave late in the fourth quarter after re-aggravating a previous knee injury. Griffin had capped the Redskins' only two drives of the first quarter against the NFL's top-rated scoring defense with touchdown passes. Seattle allowed 15.3 points per game this season, and the 14-point deficit was its largest of the season.
Seahawks will try to contain RG3
(1/4/13) The Seahawks' first playoff game will be Sunday at Washington, and it might be their last. The Redskins offense, led by quarterback Robert Griffin III, has averaged 27.3 points per game on the year and 31.0 points per game over their last four. Only once all year have the Redskins been held to under 300 total yards (at Pittsburgh in Week 8) and the defense hasn't sacked RG3 multiple times in two straight games.
Seahawks pull out Week 17 win
(12/30/12) The Seahawks DST did just enough to earn yet another victory on Sunday during the Week 17 regular-season finale against the Rams. Seattle held St. Louis to 331 total yards in the game as they won it 20-13 to head into the playoffs on a high note. The Seahawks DST forced one Sam Bradford interception in the game but did not get to the quarterback for any sacks.
Seahawks look to keep rolling
(12/25/12) The Seahawks DST needs to keep playing well Week 17 against St. Louis as Seattle has a realistic shot at overtaking San Francisco for the NFC West title. Seattle has been beating teams with an explosive offense, but will look to the DST to stop the Rams on Sunday. The Rams are middle of the pack in terms of giving up Fantasy points to opposing DST units. That said, the Seahawks DST has been a top 10 Fantasy unit all season.
