03/04/2010 20:10 Titans offer tenders to six restricted free agents
With a handful of veterans hitting the free-agent market at 12:01 a.m. Friday, the Titans' biggest move in the hours before the start of free agency was agreeing to terms with their long snapper, Ken Amato. They also offered tenders to six restricted free agents, including defensive tackle Tony Brown and tight end Bo Scaife.
Jamie Harper will battle for the backup job behind Chris Johnson in Tennessee this summer with veteran Javon Ringer. Harper's preseason was more eventful than his regular season in 2011 but he's younger and more versatile than Ringer. If he looks better than Ringer, he'll be the guy to target with a late-round pick as a handcuff to Chris Johnson. (Updated 4/25/12)
