Raiders place Seymour on IR: Oakland ended defensive lineman Richard Seymour’s season Thursday, as they placed him on Injured Reserve with hamstring and knee injuries. Seymour had missed the previous seven games as a result of the injury.

| Fantasy Analysis |
This was a very tough season for Seymour, who finished with a career-low 15 tackles in eight games. He added just 3.0 sacks. He will have very little Fantasy IDP value for the 2013 season, as he turns 34 years old early in the season.

| Richard Seymour is a free agent this offseason, so we’ll need to see where he signs before determining his exact value. But based on his role with the Raiders the past four years, he won’t help many owners in IDP leagues. Seymour missed half the season last year after being placed on injured reserve with hamstring and knee injuries. He also hasn’t topped 48 tackles or six sacks since 2008.
