Now 33, Wilson's production has slipped in recent seasons and he tallied just 39 tackles, one interception and five passes defensed last year. He might only serve as a backup in the Patriots' young secondary, and is viewed as a low-end Fantasy option for next year. (Updated 3/16/13). |
| Adrian Wilson heads to New England this year, and he’ll try to revive his career with the Patriots since his best days might be behind him. In 2012 with the Cardinals, Wilson had just 54 total tackles (39 solo) with three sacks, one interception, one forced fumble and five pass defenses. That’s two years in a row with 65 total tackles or less, and his sacks and turnovers continue to dwindle. The move to New England could help turn things around, and Bill Belichick has a history with helping older defensive backs (see Rodney Harrison for example). At best he’s worth a late-round flier in IDP leagues this season. (Updated 4/26/13) |
