Bannan back with the Broncos
(4/12/12) Justin Bannan expects his second stint with the Denver Broncos to go much better than his first. The 11th-year defensive tackle signed a one-year deal Wednesday to return to the team he played for during a 4-12 season in 2010, the worst in franchise history. Now, he gets to play between Pro Bowl pass-rushers Elvis Dumervil, who missed the entire 2010 season, and Von Miller, the 2011 Defensive Rookie of the Year.
Bannan to be worked into 4-3
(9/1/11) The Sports Xchange reports Wednesday that Rams new Defensive tackle Justin Bannan is glad to be with a team that plays the 4-3 defense. "It's good getting back into the 4-3 mode and doing a little bit more attacking," Bannan said. "It feels good to just come off the ball and play football. Last year I was in a 3-4 (with Denver), I was real far off the ball. It's a good change up to just come back here and turn it loose."
Bannan sent packing
(3/4/11) Denver continued revamping its roster Thursday by releasing veteran defensive linemen Justin Bannan and Jamal Williams. Both were big additions to former coach Josh McDaniels' 3-4 defense last summer. The Broncos are going back to a 4-3 scheme under new coach John Fox, and the Broncos saved $1.5 million in bonus payments by cutting them loose.
Bannan gets first sack in awhile
(11/23/10) Broncos DL Justin Bannan recorded his first sack in nearly two years in Week 11 against the Chargers. He brought down QB Philip Rivers in the 35-14 loss and finished with three total tackles.
Ravens defenders get in their licks
