Davis being phased out in Buffalo: The Sports Xchange notes Bills rookie Kelvin Sheppard is close to officially taking over one of the team's inside linebacker sports alongside Nick Barnett, replacing veteran Andra Davis. Sheppard, who battled injuries in training camp, is healthy and making an impact. He took most of the snaps in the loss to the Giants. "He's sitting right there ready to take over that role," coach Chan Gailey said. "Whether he starts or not (vs. Washington on Oct. 30), I don't know. But he's going to get the majority of the snaps." Davis has just one assisted tackle his last two games and 11 tackles in six games this season. You wonder if he isn't fully recovered from the shoulder injury that ended his 2010 season. Clearly, Davis isn't a good Fantasy option at this time. (Updated 10/20/2011).
