Preseason Outlook

Branch 'pretty sure' he'll be back: WR Deion Branch said after the Patriots' Super Bowl XLVI loss that he intends to re-sign with the team this offseason. "This is where I want to be, this is where I want to retire," he told ESPN. "This is why I came back, for the opportunity to play in this game. I'm pretty sure I will be here in this position next year." (Updated 02/06/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
We're not as sure as Branch that he'll be back or at least playing the same amount of playing time as he has. He's a good receiver but isn't as fast as he once was. And though he and Tom Brady have a special relationship, Brady has other quality receivers to look forward to connecting with. Branch finished his 10th season with 702 yards and five touchdowns on 51 catches, effectively matching what he did in 11 games with the Patriots in 2010. We'll see what happens to Branch but he's appealing as a reserve Fantasy receiver and that's about it. (Updated 02/06/2012).
