Henderson nears deal
(2/25/11) Oakland DT John Henderson reached an agreement Thursday with the Raiders on a two-year, $8 million contract, according to ESPN. Henderson becomes the third defensive player the team has resigned, joining DT Richard Seymour and CB Stanford Routt. Oakland used its franchise tag on OLB Kamerion Wimbley.

(6/11/10) The Raiders have signed DT John Henderson to a one-year contract with the Raiders, according to ESPN. Henderson, the No. 9 overall pick in the 2002 draft, played eight seasons with Jacksonville, starting 124 games. In Henderson, the Raiders have added another big piece in their quest to improve their woeful run defense. Henderson, who has 423 career tackles, can play tackle in a 4-3 and end in a 3-4.
