| Fantasy Analysis |
We're used to seeing Harrison beat up the Bengals, so this is a change. His role might also change as the Bengals tend to use a 4-3 defensive front and Harrison has enjoyed tons of success as an outside 3-4 linebacker. He might remain as an outside linebacker who focuses more on stopping the run than getting after the quarterback. There's potential for Harrison, 35 when the season starts, to rack up a good amount of tackles as he's done in the past. You might want to look at him with a late-round pick. (Updated 4/19/13). |
| James Harrison was released by the Steelers this offseason, partially because of his inflated salary, but he didn't go far. The Bengals picked him up and plan to cast him as their starting strong-side linebacker. That's an interesting decision as he's primarily been a pass rusher with the Steelers albeit in a role that is similar to playing the Sam position in the 4-3 defense. Many believe Harrison is a step slower and not as good against the pass as other linebackers, but in Cincinnati he'll have the chance to put up some numbers. We'd look his way with a middle- to late-round pick in drafts this summer. (Updated 5/15/13) |
