| Fantasy Analysis |
Briggs finishes the regular season with 108 tackles, 1 1/2 sacks, and two interceptions. He also scored two defensive touchdowns. The 108 tackles were the most for Briggs since 2009, and marked the eighth time in 10 seasons that he has eclipsed the 100-tackle mark. Still a force at 32 years old, Briggs will be a top IDP option in 2013. (Updated 12/30/12). |
| Bears linebacker Lance Briggs picked up 102 total tackles in 2012, barely eclipsing the 100-total-tackle mark for the second year in a row. His numbers were helped along by a pair of touchdowns coming off of interceptions, 13 passes defensed and 1.5 sacks. There were times last year when Briggs looked sluggish, a sign he might not be the type of linebacker worth investing in on Draft Day. He's still a candidate for over 100 total tackles, which is always nice, but it's going to take a miracle for him to deliver on all the other numbers he had last season. Consider him a fair No. 2 Fantasy linebacker worth a middle- to late-round pick; do not be the guy to take him higher than that. (Updated 4/25/13) |
