(1/24/14) What was expected is now official - Giants guard David Diehl has retired. Diehl played all 11 of his seasons with the Giants. He earned a Pro Bowl spot in 2009 and helped his team win two Super Bowls.

(1/13/14) Giants guard/tackle David Diehl, an 11-year veteran, is expected to announce his retirement soon, reports The Star Ledger. Diehl, 33, wasn't the player he used to be in 2013 but "he’ll go down as one of the best mid-round draft picks in club history and a tough-as-granite performer," the paper said.

(12/27/13) Giants CB Terrell Thomas, OL David Diehl, DT Cullen Jenkins, CB Jayron Hosley and RB Peyton Hillis are probable Week 17.
Thomas, Diehl and Jenkins were limited Friday. Hosley and Hillis practiced in full. With Andre Brown also probable, Hillis likely won't see much action.
