Phillips tabs James as a starter
(5/30/12) Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips confirmed that linebacker Bradie James will serve as the team's signal-caller. "He calls all the signals and all the audibles," Phillips said according to the official team website. "He already knows them, so that's the good thing. We put in a few different things, but he's caught onto those real quickly. He's real familiar with what we're doing and how we want it done and what changes we need to make in the heat of the battle. That's what I like about him."
Texans take a shot on James
(4/13/12) The Texans and linebacker Bradie James have agreed to terms, according to the Houston Chronicle. James re-unites with defensive coordinator Wade Phillips; the two worked together in Dallas.
Cowboys to part ways with two LBs?
(2/22/12) Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones hinted that linebackers Keith Brooking and Bradie James might be done with the team. "Bradie and Brooking are two of the best leaders, personalities I have ever had the pleasure of being around," he said Tuesday according to the Dallas Morning News. "They're great guys. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. That's what we've got to decide. But no one respects those guys more than we do, our family does, than the Cowboys do. Obviously when you make a decision to continue or discontinue, it is a big one."
James should see more snaps
(11/18/11) Cowboys LB Bradie James was on the field for one snap Week 10 against the Bills because the team often used defensive backs against Buffalo's spread attack. However, defensive coordinator Rob Ryan said Friday he is anxious to use James more in Week 11 against the Redskins. "When the other team's going to play football, Bradie's going to be out there," Ryan said. "Until teams want to line up and play football . . . I mean, these guys are giving us four- and five-wide receiver sets, guys. If you have a roster full of great secondary guys, you've got to get them in the game. This should be his type of game. Last week definitely was not."
James doubles tackles in win
(10/23/11) Cowboys LB Bradie James had six tackles, four solo, in Week 7 versus the Rams. Dallas would win the game, 34-7.
