Jags won't re-sign Mathis: The Florida Times Union reports Tuesday that the Jaguars will not offer defensive back Rashean Mathis. Mathis will become an unrestricted free agent. “It was a difficult decision because he’s done so many things not only for the team but the community,” general manager Dave Caldwell said.

He will hit the market after intercepting 30 passes in his first 10 seasons in the league -- all with the Jaguars. Report: Jaguars release safety Dawan Landry
The Jacksonville Jaguars have released veteran safety Dawan Landry, according to a report from NFL.com. Landry finished third on the team in total tackles in 2012 with 100. First-year coach Gus Bradley is looking to retool the Jaguars' secondary before the start of free agency. Cornerbacks Rashean Mathis and Derek Cox are expected to hit the open market.
