(3/10/14) The Steelers are waiting to hear if cornerback Ike Taylor will take a pay cut to stay with the team, reports CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora. Taylor is scheduled to earn $7 million and count nearly $12 million against the cap this year.

(1/29/14) Financial and performance considerations could motivate the Steelers to release veteran cornerback Ike Taylor, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Taylor is slated to earn $7 million in 2014, which would count nearly $11.9 million against the cap. In addition, Taylor was burned by several top wideouts in his 11th season, motivating defensive cooredinator Dick LeBeau to abandon him in that role. Speculation is that the most prudent move would be to offer him a new contract at far less money.

They are tackle Kelvin Beachum (knee), defensive end Cameron Heyward (knee), wide receiver Markus Wheaton (finger), tight end Heath Miller (not injury related), center Fernando Velasco (thigh), cornerback Ike Taylor (concussion) and linebacker Vince Williams (concussion).
