Carson Palmer happy with offseason work
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(6/13/14) Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer is pleased with how the offense looks heading into training camp, reports ESPN.

"I'm extremely happy with where we are," Palmer said. "We have a long way to go. I couldn't be happier to see the growth from the film we watched this offseason of us playing in games, and to see where we are now and to see the future's bright because you see mistakes made and you see the potential of the scheme, the potential of these plays."

Carson Palmer far more comfortable in Year 2
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(5/21/14) Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer is enjoying his second year in Bruce Arians' offense, reports ESPN.com. Last season he said he was "just swimming. Inside your head, you’re thinking about 80 different things."

Now, Palmer said he's only focused on "my first progression, my second progression, my third progression."

Tuesday's OTA "was actually enjoyable," Palmer added. "It wasn’t frustrating and all the motions you go through when you’re learning a new offense. I’ve had an entire offseason to study this offense and study our guys in this offense, and it was fun."

Logan Thomas goes to the Cardinals in fourth round
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(5/10/14) With the 120th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals selected quarterback Logan Thomas from Virginia Tech.

Thomas, the sixth quarterback taken in the draft, looked sharp at the Senior Bowl, which helped his draft stock. Standing at 6-foot-6, 248 pounds, Thomas passed for 2,907 yards with 16 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 2013. He also rushed for 344 yards with four touchdowns.

Thomas will likely compete with Drew Stanton and Ryan Lindley on the depth chart, behind veteran Carson Palmer.
Carson Palmer OK if Cardinals draft quarterback
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(4/16/14) Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer would be OK if the team drafted a quarterback in the NFL Draft, reports the team's official website.

Palmer, 34, said if the team drafts a quarterback it would make sense.

"If you are in a position to draft the best player on your board, and that's the best position to be in as an organization, and (a quarterback) is the best player on the board, you are not only making your team better by creating competition but you are helping out the future," Palmer said. "I know I'm not going to play forever. It’s hard for us players to admit that. The older you get the harder it is to admit it. You don't see it happening. You still feel good, you still feel confident, you still feel healthy. But that's the reality. That's the business. It doesn't matter how you feel about it, whether it irks you or you don't care. That’s the game."

Palmer is coming off a solid season in 2013. He threw for a career-high 4,274 yards with 24 touchdowns and 22 interceptions.

Arians expecting 'big jump' for Carson Palmer
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(3/31/14) Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said he expects quarterback Carson Palmer to continue playing at a high level in 2014.

Arians said Palmer, 34, still "has more than a couple of years left" playing at a high level.

"I have not seen a drop-off skill wise since the Cincinnati days," Arians said in an interview with CBSSports.com at the NFL owners meeting. "He still throws it as efficiently, and his deep ball is one of the best I've ever seen. He works out like a maniac. His body is in great shape. If anything, I'm expecting a big jump this year because of the second year in the offense. He's got it now. The rest of the guys around him now have got it. We're adding some things with Andre Ellington and some stuff. It's harder to take a vet and school him than to brainwash a rookie. It took a while for that learning process to take place."

Palmer passed for 4,274 yards, 24 touchdowns and 22 interceptions in his first year playing for Arians in 2013.
