Lions make roster moves: Detroit TE Casey FitzSimmons is out for the season with symptoms stemming from a concussion. The team signed running back Cedric Peerman, tight end Michael Matthews and claimed kick returner Brian Witherspoon off waivers from Jacksonville. The Lions also released cornerback Jahi Word-Daniels, and added defensive tackle Terrance Taylor and receiver Eric Fowler to the practice squad.
