Giants ask David Baas, Chris Snee to take pay cuts
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(2/27/14) The Giants asked center David Baas and guard Chris Snee to take pay cuts, reports ProFootballTalk.com. Snee previously said he'd take less money to stay with the team, while Baas has not yet agreed, the report said.

Snee is a four-time Pro Bowler who carries an $11.3 million cap number. Baas has a cap figure of $8.225 million. Injuries limited each player to three games last season.

Giants could have three new O-line starters
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(2/4/14) With Kevin Boothe entering free agency and David Baas and Chris Snee in contract limbo, the Giants might need new starters at center and both guard spots, reports ESPN.com. The website mentions Browns center Alex Mack and Chiefs guard Geoff Schwartz as the top free agents available at those positions.
Knee injury forces David Baas to IR
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(10/23/13) The Giants announced Wednesday they placed starting center David Baas on injured reserve with a knee injury.

"It’s very frustrating, to say the least," Baas said, per the team's official website. "You work so hard. We said we can’t catch a break."

Baas said he's already looking forward to next season.

"That’s what you live for," Baas said. "Obviously, there’s things that happen and you’re a man about it and you realize that’s a part of the business, but you don’t think about (not playing) right now. That may come down the road and I’m smart enough to be prepared for that, but as of right now, I’m just worried about getting healthy and getting to a point where I can play and play at a very high level again."

David Baas will get MRI for knee injury
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(10/22/13) Giants center David Baas went for X-rays after leaving Monday's game vs. Minnesota because of a knee injury suffered on the team's opening drive, according to The Star-Ledger. Baas, who made his return Week 7 after missing three games with a neck injury, will undergo an MRI Tuesday.

"I just can't catch a break," Baas said.
