Barber inactive a second time: Bears RB Marion Barber, who missed Week 16 with a calf injury, is inactive again for Week 17 at Minnesota. Kahlil Bell will again start in his place. (Updated 01/01/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Bell was so effective at Green Bay last week, rushing for 121 yards, that you had to figure Barber might play a lesser role on offense even if he was active. This report is a bigger deal for Bell owners than Barber owners, but the latter should obviously sit Barber. Even before Matt Forte's knee injury, Barber was a relevant Fantasy option because of his role as the goal line back, but Bell's emergence late in the season could alter the depth chart entering 2012. Wherever Barber lands in the pecking order, he doesn't figure to be the starter, so he'll likely be nothing more than handcuff option on Draft day. (Updated 01/01/2012).
