Jets retain Willie Colon
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(3/19/14) The Jets re-signed right guard Willie Colon to a one-year, $2 million deal. He tore his biceps in Week 17 but is expected to be ready for the 2014 season opener.
Jets must address offensive line
by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(2/13/14) The Jets' right side of their offensive line will be eligible for free agency this spring, something the team has to get a grip on. ESPN thinks the team would be wise to keep both guard Willie Colon and tackle Austin Howard.

Howard has stepped up and played a large role for Gang Green after being a practice squad guy. He allowed two sacks per ProFootballFocus.com and has plenty of good years left in front of him since he's 27.

Colon is older and is coming off a torn biceps injury suffered in Week 17. That means he'll miss most of the offseason program but should be OK for training camp. He might not worth a lavish deal but could help out.

Report: Willie Colon tears biceps
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com

Colon is set to be an unrestricted free-agent. He will undergo surgery this week. Recovery is expected to take about four months. He started all 16 games for New York this season.
