Fantasy Analysis
It sure sounds as though Davis is going to hang it up after tearing his ACL again. It's a real shame too since he was a very productive player when he wasn't hurt. Even if Davis doesn't retire, he will miss the rest of the 2011 season because of this injury, so you need to cut him in seasonal Fantasy IDP formats. (Updated 09/19/2011).
Thomas Davis was expected to test free agency this offseason, but he was able to ink a five-year deal to stay in town as he publicly wanted all along. A pair of torn ACLs suffered within a year's time could limit his opportunities, but the team feels he can contribute in 2011. The once-solid Fantasy linebacker with lots of upside is now a major injury risk. Don't spend a draft pick on him this summer. (Updated 7/27/11)
