Joel Dreessen released due to failed physical

|(7/22/14) The Broncos released tight end Joel Dreessen with a failed physical designation. He spent two seasons with Denver, starting 15 games in 2013 and playing in 13 games last year, but has struggled with knee problems.

|(2/20/14) Broncos tight end Joel Dreessen hopes to play out the final season of his contract with the Broncos next year, but an injury could complicate matters. According to the Denver Post, Dreessen is expected to undergo surgery on his left knee next week, though the extent of the procedure is not yet known.
"We're going through the stages of getting various opinions on what the best course of action is for me to contribute in 2014," Dreessen said.
Dreessen underwent two separate surgeries last offseason and struggled with the knee all season en route to just seven receptions.
Broncos list eight as probable for title clash

|(1/17/14) The Broncos should be at full strength for the AFC Championship game against New England. All eight players on their Friday injury report are probable, including quarterback Peyton Manning (ankle) and wide receiver Demaryius Thomas (calf).
The others are safeties Duke Ihenacho (knee) and Mike Adams (thigh), tight end Joel Dreessen (knee), tackle Winston Justice (finger), guard Chris Kuper (ankle) and cornerback Kayvon Webster (thumb).
