Preseason Outlook

Redskins sign safety Meriweather: Safety Brandon Meriweather signed a two-year, $6 million deal with the Redskins on Thursday, giving them depth at a position of need. Washington cut free safety O.J. Atogwe earlier this week and SS LaRon Landry will leave via free agency. Meriweather made consecutive Pro Bowls in 2009-10 with New England but was cut the following September. He played for Chicago last season. (Updated 03/19/2012)
