| Ngata exits with knee sprain |
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com (2/3/13) Ravens defensive lineman Haloti Ngata was forced out of the Super Bowl against the 49ers due to a knee sprain. He sustained the injury during Frank Gore's 6-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and was ruled doubtful to return to the game. He registered just two tackles before getting hurt. "I feel a lot better now," Ngata told reporters after the game. "My knee is numb. But doctors don't really know if any ligaments are torn. We'll know in Baltimore"
|
| Haloti Ngata's stats took a slight dip last year and concerns about his health might push his already shaky value down some more. Productive enough to finish close to a No. 3 DL, Ngata totaled 51 total tackles with five sacks and a pass defensed. In the past, he'd put up more tackles and passes defensed, making him good enough to start. But with the defensive line position making a comeback, his time in the proverbial sun might be over in Fantasy play. We wouldn't draft him, period. (Updated 4/26/13) |
