(2/7/13) Speaking with the media Thursday, Ravens coach John Harbaugh said the knee injury suffered by defensive lineman Haloti Ngata in the Super Bowl wasn't serious. Ngata is expected to be ready for work.

(2/3/13) Ravens defensive lineman Haloti Ngata was forced out of the Super Bowl against the 49ers due to a knee sprain. He sustained the injury during Frank Gore's 6-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and was ruled doubtful to return to the game. He registered just two tackles before getting hurt. "I feel a lot better now," Ngata told reporters after the game. "My knee is numb. But doctors don't really know if any ligaments are torn. We'll know in Baltimore"

| Haloti Ngata's stats took a slight dip last year and concerns about his health might push his already shaky value down some more. Productive enough to finish close to a No. 3 DL, Ngata totaled 51 total tackles with five sacks and a pass defensed. In the past, he'd put up more tackles and passes defensed, making him good enough to start. But with the defensive line position making a comeback, his time in the proverbial sun might be over in Fantasy play. We wouldn't draft him, period. (Updated 4/26/13) |
