Pollard gets paid via tender: The Texans placed a first-round tender on restricted free agent SS Bernard Pollard. He is promised a one-year deal guaranteed at $2.521 million but could still negotiate with other teams. Another team could make Pollard an offer but would have to give the Texans a first-round pick as compensation if the Texans opt to not match it. We expect him to remain in Houston.
