Cowboys part ways with Pool: The Cowboys released veteran defensive back Brodney Pool on Monday, one of their free-agent pickups earlier this year. Pool was cut along with cornerback Isaac Madison when Dallas cleared roster space to sign receiver David Little and running back Javarris Williams.

| Fantasy Analysis |
Pool signed a one-year deal in March. He was one of three Dallas players who at the start of camp failed the initial conditioning test, a series of timed sprints. He had to do several days of remedial running before passing the second test and starting practice Friday. Pool will likely land with another team before the start of the season, but is not considered a major Fantasy contributor and should not be selected in IDP drafts.
