Fantasy Analysis
Rolle could finish the season with his first 90-tackle campaign. He doesn't get a lot of interceptions, but Rolle makes a ton of tackles and remains a viable No. 2 Fantasy DB. (Updated 12/24/2011).
05/20/2012 12:37 Got a (Big) Nickel? You'll need one to combat hybrid offenses this fall
The defense was introduced by Bill Belichick, but it's the Patriots offense that's sparking a revival. Pat Kirwan looks at the Big Nickel, where an extra safety is the key, and how your team might need it to thwart new hybrid attacks.
Antrel Rolle has done a nice job with the Giants through two seasons. He is averaging 91.5 total tackles over that span with three interceptions, two fumble recoveries and a sack. It's the fourth time in his seven-year career that Rolle had at least 75 total tackles. We consider Rolle a No. 2 defensive back in IDP leagues, and he's worth a late-round pick. If he can create more turnovers -- he had a career-high five interceptions in 2007 -- then his value would rise. (Updated 4/24/12)
