Fantasy Analysis
Ruud finished with 57 tackles and an interception this season before losing his starting position to rookie Colin McCarthy. Fantasy owners should release Ruud in all IDP formats for the remainder of the season. (Updated 12/13/2011).
Barrett Ruud is a free agent this offseason and it is believed that he'll command lots of interest. That means he could leave Tampa Bay after posting triple-digit total tackles over each of the last four seasons. Ruud also contributes a few sacks and pass stats each year, which makes him a reliable No. 1 Fantasy LB. We'd take a look at him after the very elite linebackers are off the board – figure him to be a strong mid-round pick in all leagues, especially if he stays as the sole middle linebacker in a 4-3 defense.
