Spencer signs his tender: Outside linebacker Anthony Spencer officially signed his one-year franchise tender of $8.8 million, putting him with the Cowboys in 2012 (and a free agent again in 2013). Spencer has been wanting a new long-term contract but it appears the club prefers a one-year deal. With the NFL Draft three days away, Spencer signed the deal to keep the Cowboys from potentially pulling back the offer, a possibility if they drafted a potential replacement. (Updated 04/24/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Spencer totaled 66 tackles with six sacks in 2011. Those are not great Fantasy numbers for a LB and they don't stand to change much going forward. We would only consider him as a low-end No. 2 LB in leagues that do not reward tackles. (Updated 04/24/2012).
