Whitner finds the end zone vs. Saints : 49ers defensive back Donte Whitner found the end zone for the first time this season in Week 12 against the Saints. Whitner stepped in front of a Drew Bress pass attempt and returned it 42 yards for a touchdown in the the third quarter. It was his first interception of the season and eighth of his career. He finished with eight tackles -- five solo -- in the 31-21 win and was also credited with a pass defended.

| Fantasy Analysis |
Whitner registered his second career touchdown against the Saints and his first since his days with the Bills. While the 27-year-old continues to be one of the leaders of the 49ers' secondary, his impact to Fantasy owners has been minimal. Whitner only has one INT and two pass defended on the year to go along with 55 tackles. He should be considered more of a low-end option in deeper IDP formats at this point in the season.
