(8/21/14) Defensive back Brandon Boykin highlights the list of inactives for the Eagles' third preseason game against the Steelers on Thursday. Boykin left last week's game against New England with leg cramps. He was seen talking to a team trainer and pointing the back of his right leg, according to PhillyMag.com. The team has diagnosed him with a "slight' hamstring injury.
The rest of the inactives: Wide receiver Josh Huff (shoulder), running back Chris Polk (hamstring), linebacker Jake Knott (hamstring), defensive back Cary Williams (hamstring), and center Julian Vandervelde (back).

|Eagles DST scores late to cap great night |

(12/23/13) The Eagles DST got a pick-6 in the fourth quarter when corner Brandon Boykin returned a Jay Cutler interception 54 yards. The touchdown highlighted one of the unit's top performances all year.
Playing with a lead the entire night, Philly held the potent Bears attack to 257 total yards and got five sacks and two takeaways. Linebacker Trent Cole had three sacks, linebacker Mychal Kendricks two. Cornerback Cary Williams recovered Devin Hester's fumble on a first-quarter kickoff return.
The Eagles DST heads to Dallas in Week 17 with momentum.
|Two probable Eagles good to go |
|by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com|
(12/15/13) Eagles CB Brandon Boykin and CB Cary Williams are active Week 15 against the Vikings.
Boykin is dealing with a hip injury, but was able to fully practice this week. Williams has a hamstring issue, and was able to full participate in practice Friday.
|Cary Williams did well as a low-end defensive back in IDP leagues in 2013, and we're expecting similar production this year. Williams had three interception, one sack, 67 total tackles (57 solo) and 12 pass defenses. Williams is a big hitter, and he makes plays when they're there. But he's never been a big stat producer, and he's only worth drafting with a late-round pick in IDP leagues as a reserve defensive back.
