Williams placed on IR: Buffalo received a huge blow to its defensive line Tuesday after placing DL Kyle Williams (foot) on season-ending injured reserve. Williams, who signed a six-year deal in the offseason, re-aggravated a lingering foot injury in October and has missed the Bills' past three games. (Updated 11/08/2011)

Fantasy Analysis
Williams has not played since Oct. 9 as a result of the foot issue and finished the injury-plagued season with just nine tackles. He also failed to register a sack for the first time since his rookie season in 2006. Fantasy owners who were holding out hope for Williams' return should seek healthier option in IDP formats for the rest of the season. (Updated 11/08/2011).
Kyle Williams will look to build off his breakout year in 2010 with another solid performance this season. Last year, Williams had 77 tackles, including 54 solo, with 5 1/2 sacks and two forced fumbles. He reached career highs in each of those categories and turned out to be Buffalo's best pass rusher. It was enough to see him finish as a top 10 Fantasy defensive linemen, and with some consistent stats coming from him over the last two seasons, owners should plan on drafting Williams with a middle-round pick as at worst a No. 2 defensive lineman in IDP leagues.
