Boley's time over with the Giants: The Giants announced the release of linebacker Michael Boley on Tuesday. He was scheduled to make $4.25 million in 2012, a number that apparently didn't justify his production.

| Fantasy Analysis |
Boley, 31, finished last season with some pretty good numbers: 92 total tackles, three interceptions (one in each of the first three games, four passes defensed and a half sack. But his playing time shrunk as the season went on. He'll land on his feet and should still be considered a good tackle contributor, making him worthy of at least a bench spot in Fantasy leagues this year.

| Michael Boley is looking for a job this offseason after he was released by the Giants in February. Boley had been a good reserve linebacker in IDP leagues and a solid one-week replacement when he was with the Giants. He has at least 92 total tackles in each of the past two years, and in 2012 he had a career-high three interceptions. Keep an eye on where he ends up, and in the right situation he could be worth a late-round pick in IDP leagues. (Updated 4/26/13) |
