Bush figures he'll split with Forte: During a conference call with the media on Thursday, new Bears running back Michael Bush made it clear that he was told he'll be splitting reps with Matt Forte. Forte is currently a franchised free agent and is unhappy with Bush signing a four-year deal with Chicago. Bush said he was surprised he couldn't find a starting job in free agency but figures there's enough carries to go around in Chicago. "Every meeting I went into, everybody was saying they were trying to do a two-back system. I can't argue with that so I just have to go with what fits my needs," Bush said. "I think it'll be wide open. When he gets tired, I'll come in. I don't think there should be any drop off, the same plays that they ran for him, I think I should be able to do the same things. I think everything will be fine, just one guys goes out, another guy comes in and the offense doesn't change as much."

Fantasy Analysis
We had high hopes for Bush ending up as the starter with a new team this offseason, but apparently he couldn't agree to terms with any team offering that role. Expect him to end up with a role similar to that of Marion Barber last season: Part-time back with good goal-line skills. He could end up with 8 to 12 touches per week. Still, that's a far cry from what might have been: A do-it-all, 15-to-20 touch back with the potential for a heap of touchdowns. The only way this will work in Bush's favor is if Forte holds out or if the Bears move Forte, which is unlikely for now. Bush settles back into being a mid-round pick in drafts as a quality reserve and as a must-own handcuff for people who draft Forte.
