|Allen: Shoulder is getting better: Vikings defensive end Jared Allen told SiriusXM NFL Radio he's nearly at full strength after having shoulder and knee surgeries this offseason. Allen says he's regained about 95 percent range of motion in his shoulder and that his knee feels better. |
|No information available at this time (Updated 5/22/13).|
|Allen has had at least 11 sacks in each of his last six seasons including 22 in 2011. His tackle totals were also good until last season when he had only 45 compared to 66 in 2011. Allen is 31 years old but should still be a very effective player and contributor of sacks. We still recommend him as a No. 1 Fantasy DL worth an early- to middle-round splurge. |
Ranking NFL QBs: Rodgers, Brady, Peyton and Brees are elites
There are four elite NFL QBs -- Rodgers, Brady, Manning (Peyton) and Brees. We rank them all, from No. 1 down to the Manuel-Kolb experiment in Buffalo.
NFL Top 100: On a list loaded with quarterbacks, Rodgers is clear No. 1
Bring on the angry comments. Pete Prisco's Top 100 list is here, and on a list flush with QBs, Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers is the easy No. 1, with Peyton and Brady not far behind.
Versatile Watt, powerful Ngata, Wilfork best of defensive linemen
The position name -- defensive lineman -- doesn't do its players justice. Pat Kirwan details the variety the role offers and gives us his best of the big men.
Vikings' Jared Allen: Christian Ponder has to be 'the guy' in 2013
Vikings defensive end Jared Allen says quarterback Christian Ponder has to be 'the guy' in 2013.
|DE Jared Allen saw a statistical decline in 2012, so there's a little concern about his future. True, he had 12 sacks, making it his sixth straight with double-digit totals, but his tackle totals reached an eight-year low with 45 and he didn't contribute a whole heck of a lot else. He's still considered a No. 1 Fantasy defensive lineman worth a mid-round pick at the latest, but with the position starting to gather some depth and Allen at 31 years of age next season, there's some concern over just how much longer he has before he really declines.
