Preseason Outlook

Steelers keep WR Cotchery: Wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery signed a two-year deal to return to the Steelers, according to ESPN. Cotchery, 29, spent last season with Pittsburgh and surpassed Hines Ward on the depth chart. He's expected to remain prominent on the depth chart this year; quarterback Ben Roethlisberger expressed interest in bringing back Cotchery earlier this year. (Updated 04/12/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Cotchery caught 16 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns with the Steelers last year. Those are weak totals for sure but they came because he was buried on their depth chart -- he caught passes in only six games. Cotchery could see more snaps in 2012 and be a candidate to sit on the bench of deeper PPR rosters. He might be a sneaky late-round pick in those formats. (Updated 04/12/2012).
