Preseason Outlook

Cotchery scores late TD: Pittsburgh WR Jerricho Cotchery hauled in just one pass, but it went for a touchdown during the Steelers' 29-23 loss to Denver in the AFC Wild Card Playoff on Sunday. Cotchery connected with QB Ben Roethlisberger on a 31-yard touchdown pass during the fourth quarter to the tie the game at 23. The veteran wideout was targeted only twice by Roethlisberger, but still managed more yards than star WR Mike Wallace (26). (Updated 01/08/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Cotchery certainly made his lone reception of Sunday's game count.as the touchdown marked Pittsburgh's only receiving score of the contest. The 29-year-old joined the Steelers late, but developed some late chemistry and finished with two touchdowns during the regular season. He is currently buried on the team's depth chart, but could take WR Hines Ward's position in the slot if he retires. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on his status, but he's not a worthwhile option in 2012 Fantasy drafts at this point. (Updated 01/08/2012).
