(7/23/13) Defensive tackle Tommie Harris is working out for the Buccaneers on Tuesday, reports ESPN.com.
Harris hasn’t played since 2011, when he appeared in 13 games with the Chargers. He was a fixture in Chicago his first seven seasons.
According to the report, Harris could supply much-needed depth in the middle of the defensive line. Tampa Bay also brought in running back Peyton Hillis and tight end Visanthe Shiancoe for tryouts.

|(8/4/11) The Indianapolis Star confirmed Wednesday that he Colts signed three-time Pro Bowl DT Tommie Harris. Coach Jim Caldwell said that the team is bringing in more free agents than usual, but Harris has a chance to play in a system he knows. What we know is hes familiar with our system, hes been in our system and understands how it operates and hes a guy who can give you a little juice as well, Caldwell said of Harris.
