If ever there was a time to trust Eli Manning, it is now
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/29/14) It took a couple of games, but Eli Manning finally seems to be settling into the Giants' offense. Should Fantasy owners be buying into the new-and-improved Eli?

Manning got off to a rough start in Week 1, passing for just 163 yards on 33 attempts, with two interceptions and one touchdown. Since then, however, he has engineered three solid starts in a row, completing 70.8 percent of his passes for 811 yards, eight touchdowns and just three interceptions.

And he has done that against some solid defenses, as Arizona and Houston rank in the top-12 in passer rating allowed, with seven interceptions to nine touchdowns between them. Before his five-touchdown showing against Washington, he had not just been tearing up porous defenses -- though he showed he could do that and more Thursday.

And he will get a few more chances coming up, with the Falcons, Eagles, Cowboys and Colts coming up on the schedule in the next four weeks. Those four teams all rank in the bottom-10 in passing yards allowed, with an average of 264 per game allowed, to go with 28 touchdowns in 16 games.

If you are afraid to trust Manning, we don't blame you. I've had more than one Fantasy game torpedoed by one of his signature three-pick meltdowns. Still, with how well he has taken to this offense, and the schedule of cupcakes on the way, there might not be a better time to trust him.

Eli Manning turns in monster performance Thursday
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(9/25/14) Giants quarterback Eli Manning put on a clinic Thursday against Washington.

Manning completed 28 of 39 passes for 300 yards and four touchdowns. He added a rushing score on a 1 yard touchdown. Manning had a lot of success utilizing his tight ends early. Larry Donnell could not be covered by Washington, and Manning hooked up with him six times before the half. Three of those passes wound up being touchdowns. Manning would go on to throw another touchdown during the contest, this time to backup Daniel Fells. Manning also had a possible touchdown taken off the board. He hit Rueben Randle in the end zone, but the ball was knocked loose and intercepted. It was determined that Randle didn't make a football move, so the interception stood. Manning would wind up leaving the game in the fourth quarter, allowing Ryan Nassib to get some snaps.

Manning will take on the Falcons Week 5.

Eli Manning a worthwhile fill-in for Week 4
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/23/14) Giants quarterback Eli Manning is available in 51 percent of CBSSports.com Fantasy leagues, and Jamey Eisenberg targets him as the next-best-thing for Fantasy owners who miss out on Kirk Cousins on waivers this week.

Manning has racked up 40 Fantasy points over the last two weeks and gets to take on a Washington defense that just gave up 32 points to Nick Foles. Manning had just 23 Fantasy points against Washington a year ago, but torched them for 617 passing yards in two games in 2012.

Manning is never going to be the most attractive Fantasy option, but he might make sense as a fill in for Week 4.

Eli Manning throws two touchdowns in Week 3 win
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(9/21/14) Giants quarterback Eli Manning threw a pair of touchdowns, and New York earned its first victory of the season during a 30-17 win Week 3 vs. Houston. Manning completed 21 of 28 passes for 234 yards and no touchdowns, finishing with a 123.2 quarterback rating.

He put New York up 7-0 after connecting with Victor Cruz on a 26-yard touchdown pass with 3:21 left in the second quarter. He then gave the Giants a 27-10 lead in the fourth quarter after connecting with Daniel Fells for a 9-yard touchdown with 9:25 left.

Manning almost had a lengthy touchdown pass late in the first quarter, but Cruz couldn't outrun the defense and was dragged down after a 61-yard gain. On the previous drive, Larry Donnell fumbled down inside the 5-yard line after catching a 6-yard pass from Manning.

Manning didn't throw an interception for the first time in eight games dating back to last season. The Giants are back in action Thursday at Washington.

Coach believes Giants are getting better
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(9/18/14) Offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo has seen progress in the Giants offense, according to ESPN.

The team has gotten off to a slow start, particularly on offense. Despite that, McAdoo said he's seen some signs of progress with the whole offense, including quarterback Eli Manning. "I thought he had some comfort in his feet," McAdoo said. "He felt good about where he was going with the ball. That is encouraging to see."

McAdoo went on to stress how good the team looked in practice Thursday. They'll have a chance to show off that improvement Week 3 against the Eagles.
