Preseason Outlook

Turner stays with Rivers in San Diego: The Chargers announced Tuesday that head coach Norv Turner will return to the team in 2012. That means the offense currently run by the Chargers will remain the same, a big plus for quarterback Philip Rivers. (Updated 01/03/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
In five seasons with Turner, Rivers has averaged 4,150 yards, 28 touchdowns and 13 interceptions per year. So while many folks in San Diego might be unhappy with Turner's return, Fantasy owners can take some comfort in knowing that he'll be there to help Rivers maintain his quality stats. Rivers is expected to serve as a No. 1 Fantasy QB in 2012 and will actually fall to Round 4 or so in drafts as owners have become enamored with other quarterbacks at a very talent-rich position. Believe it or not, Rivers could be one of Fantasy's best bargains this summer. (Updated 01/03/2012).
