|Jaguars backup RBs do little Sunday |
|by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com|
(10/20/13) Jaguars backup running backs did little during the Week 7 home loss to the Chargers Sunday. With Maurice Jones-Drew struggling to get anything going on the ground, little was expected of the reserves.
Running back Justin Forsett rushed twice for 19 yards in the game. He also caught a pass for 10 yards as the best performer of the bunch. Dunta Robinson had one carry for 9 yards in the game and Jordan Todman added one for 8 yards. Todman scored in the game but it was called back. Neither Todman nor Robinson were targeted in the passing game.
Jacksonville has yet to score an offensive touchdown at home this season. They play at home Week 8 against San Francisco.
|Chiefs defenders play big role in Week 4 win |
|by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com|
(9/30/13) Chiefs cornerback Dunta Robinson, defensive end Allen Bailey and safety Quintin Demps all had strong performances in a 31-7 win Week 4 vs. N.Y. Giants.
Robinson had five solo tackles, one pass defense and one fumble recovery. Bailey had three solo tackles and one sack. Demps had no tackles, but had managed one interception and two pass defenses.
Other defensive contributors were Sean Smith (four solo tackles), safety Eric Berry (two solo tackles, two pass defenses, one fumble recovery), linebacker Justin Houston (two solo tackles) and defensive tackle Dontari Poe (two solo tackles).
|Two key players highlight Chiefs inactive list |
|by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com|
(9/15/13) Linebacker Nico Johnson (ankle) and cornerback Dunta Robinson (personal) head the list of inactives released by the Chiefs for the game Sunday against Dallas.
Others on the list are healthy scratches, including quarterback Tyler Bray, wide receiver Chad Hall, center Eric Kush, linebacker Josh Martin and defensive lineman Jaye Howard.
|Pressed into more work thanks to an early-season injury to cornerback Brent Grimes, Dunta Robinson showed he can still play. The Chiefs hope that's the case after signing him this offseason. Robinson posted 80 tackles for the first time since 2006 and recorded a sack for the first time since 2005. But those kinds of totals have been foreign to him for years. Fantasy owners shouldn't chance a pick with Robinson unless it's late in deeper drafts. (Updated 4/26/13) |
