Fantasy Analysis
Smith missed hitting the 100-tackle plateau by three stops last season, but effectively rebounded during the 2011 campaign, his eighth year in the NFL. Smith, who needs one more sack to establish a career high, should be viewed as mid-range option in Fantasy IDP formats. (Updated 12/24/2011).
12/11/2011 16:35 Jags, MJD (4 TDs) bury give-away Bucs
Maurice Jones-Drew scored four times, setting the franchise record for career touchdowns, and the Jacksonville Jaguars rolled up 41 unanswered points to beat the turnover-prone Tampa Bay Buccaneers 41-14 Sunday.
Jaguars linebacker Daryl Smith had another good season in the middle of the Jacksonville defense in 2010 and hopes to build on it in 2011. Smith totaled 97 tackles with 3 1/2 sacks, an interception, five pass breakups and a forced fumble. Fantasy owners love Smith's ability to record stats other than tackles, and he's easily worth taking with a middle- to late-round pick as a No. 2 Fantasy LB. (Updated 5/2/11)
