Fantasy Analysis
Smith is a low-end DL in IDP leagues, and he is worth starting in most formats when needed. Consider him a quality option in Week 15 at the Vikings. (Updated 12/11/2011).
Will Smith let down Saints fans and Fantasy owners alike in 2010 with a 39-tackle, 5.5-sack campaign. More was expected from Smith, who wasn't the team's most prolific pass rusher (Sedrick Ellis out-did him by a half-sack). Smith will attempt to get back into form in 2011, and with the Saints already addressing their interior defensive line this offseason, he could get the help he needs to make an impact. He's got No. 1 Fantasy DL potential but he should be taken as no more than a No. 2 Fantasy DL just in case he struggles again. Think middle- to late-round pick. (Updated 5/3/11)
