Starks opts to return to Miami: Dolphins defensive lineman Randy Starks signed his franchise tender with the Dolphins Tuesday, putting him in line to make $8.45 million guaranteed for the upcoming season. The team appears to still be interested in signing Starks to a long-term contract, according to the Sun Sentinel.

| Fantasy Analysis |
Starks is a two-time Pro Bowl selection, however he has significantly less value in Fantasy. Starks has just 4.5 sacks in each of the last two seasons, and remains little more than a low-end Fantasy target in deeper formats for Fantasy owners.

| Randy Starks was given the franchise tag by the Dolphins this offseason, and he will look to play well in what should be a contract year. Starks played well for the Dolphins in 2012 with 27 total tackles (18 solo), 4.5 sacks and one interception. Starks has at least three sacks in each year since 2008, but his main role is to clog the middle and stop the run. Since he doesn't post dominant stats his Fantasy value is limited.
