|Saints secondary headed for some changes? |
|by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer|
(1/24/14) The Saints defensive secondary could undergo a facelift this offseason as cornerback Jabari Greer is coming off a torn ACL and safety Roman Harper is a potential salary cap casualty, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
Per the paper, Greer will turn 32 next season and could be at risk of losing his job if he doesn't bounce back strong from the torn ACL he suffered in Week 11 vs. San Francisco. To his credit he did play well before the injury. He's scheduled to make over $8 million in 2014 and 2015.
Harper isn't coming back from an injury but has struggled to find regular playing time in the wake of the team drafting Kenny Vaccaro last spring. Scheduled to earn $5.9 million next season, Harper might have to take a significant pay cut or else he'll hit the street.
