Fantasy Analysis
Godfrey is six tackles shy of matching his career mark but he will have to wait until Week 17 to reach that feat. His tackling makes him a worthy No. 3 DB in Fantasy IDP leagues when healthy, so keep an eye on his status going forward. (Updated 12/24/2011).
The Panthers, and Fantasy owners, got a boost from Charles Godfrey last season when he picked off five passes, defensed another eight and totaled 84 tackles. Godfrey is entering a contract year, so his experience last year combined with the motivation to play big in 2011 should yield some really good stats for Fantasy owners. We'd roll the dice on Godfrey as a No. 2 Fantasy DB, but if you can get him as a No. 3 then you'd be working some magic. Think middle- to late-round pick on him. (Updated 5/2/11)
