Davis could get franchise tag: According to the NFL Network, the Redskins will likely use the franchise tag on TE Fred Davis, who is an impending free agent. Davis, who missed the final four games this season for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, will likely be paid a little more than $5 million if he does receive the franchise tag. Fantasy Analysis
Davis had a solid season in 2011 (59 catches for 759 yards and three touchdowns) before his four-game suspension for failing multiple drug tests ended his year. We hope Davis will return to the Redskins, and he would be considered a No. 1 Fantasy TE if he is back in Washington. Keep an eye on his offseason, but Davis would be worth drafting with a late-round pick in all leagues. (Updated 02/08/2012).
